Marta Nunes was born in the spring of 1984 in Lousada. She graduated in Architecture from the University of Beira Interior and during her studies she began illustrating for publications. Since 2010 she has participated in collective and individual exhibitions, but since 2019 illustration has increasingly been her main activity, where her interest in Portuguese tradition and culture has marked some of her work. Expressions, people and traditional trades are what inspire her most in the construction of narratives, but also everyday objects and the poetics of working days.
She has been a member of Portugal Manual since 2021.
