The Maria Fernanda Rovira Symphony Orchestra Concert brings together students from the Specialised Artistic Schools: Caldas da Rainha and Bombarral Conservatory, Coimbra Regional Conservatory and Figueira da Foz and Pombal Music Conservatory. These students, accompanied by highly qualified professional musicians with symphonic experience, propose for this concert a journey which begins in Romanticism and extends to the present day, revisiting current themes by composers such as Luísa Sobral and The Black Mamba.
The orchestra will be conducted by Maestro César Ramos, with the participation of tenor Carlos Guilherme and sopranos Joana Ferreira, Nathalie Gal and Cristiana Carvalho.
The theme of this concert revolves around Romanticism, a movement born in the 19th century. The origin of the name of this artistic period comes from the novels about medieval themes: chivalric heroes, distant lands and unattainable loves. These stories come to us through the great operas of the Italians Puccini and Verdi, accompanied by the symphony orchestras that were expanding in various European countries.
Free entrance by picking up the tickets at the CAE box office.
