Sofia Escobar became best known for her roles in musical theatre. It was in London that she brought to life Christine Daaé, the protagonist of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. She also played the role of Maria, one of the main characters in ‘West Side Story’. She is a regular collaborator in singing voice dubs, including the character of Jasmine in ‘Aladdin’ and the Portuguese voice of Madame Garderobe in the film ‘Beauty and the Beast’. In Portugal, she has been part of the cast of several musicals such as ‘Eusébio um Hino ao Futebol’ and ‘Entre o Céu e a Terra’.
This is another ORQUESTRAE concert, which will be attended by the Paionense Philharmonic Society and the Carvalhense Musical Artistic Society.
