a realistic testimony to the history of Figueira da Foz
The opening of the permanent exhibition ‘João Reis 1889-1982 | The Intuition of Painting’ will take place on 4 September at 5pm at the Santos Rocha Municipal Museum, the result of a protocol collaboration between Figueira da Foz City Council and the family of João Reis, the custodian of his estate. Comprising around 80 works (7 belonging to the MMSR’s painting collection), it is organised into specific sections, revealing the phases and artistic diversity of João Reis.
‘João Reis 1889-1982 | The Intuition of Painting’ is a realistic testimony to the history of Figueira da Foz, which the artist loved so much, and a valuable contribution to understanding the region’s experiences.

Tuesday to Friday: 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturdays: 14h00 to 19h00
Mondays, weekends and public holidays: closed
