A storytelling session in the company of a glass of wine and something more…
The Tintim by Tchim-Tchim meeting is intended to be a time and space for listening and telling, an oral storytelling session for adults, to which wine and something to savour will be added, perfect complements for an evening of sharing, in which, together, we will weave that fabric made of words and silences that makes tales powerful tools of thought that stimulate fantasy, sensitivity, memory and expression. Let’s drink a toast.
ADRIANO REIS
Son of the island of Santo Antão, born in Luanda by chance. When he was a year old, his parents, Tonaya and Txikou, returned to the island and chose the village of Porto Novo, where he remembers sitting on the doorsteps, in the moonlight or the light of an oil lamp, listening to beautiful enchanting stories. These would invariably begin with ‘Stória, Stória’, a motto to which they would respond with a resounding ‘Fortuna do Céu. Amen!’.
Today, as a professional and researcher of the ‘Stória word’, he lives and works in Portugal where he also develops activities as a Youth Coach, Theatre, Television and Cinema Actor, Community Coach, Socio-Cultural Animator, Trainer, Facilitator and Dynamiser of Non-formal Activities and Extracurricular Activities, Artistic Director of the International Meeting of Oral Narration of Lusophony – Aqu’Alva Stória, Associative Leader and Curator of the DraContos Cycle in the Azores, and of Dja D’Sal Stória, on Sal Island in Cape Verde.
He is the author of Tonaya – O Pedreiro do El Dorado, Rutxêla and the collection Macaronesia, with two volumes already published, the trilogy Cidade Velha Solera Porta Ku Nôs Gentis Grandi (1st and 2nd Jornada), and has taken part in various collections, among them ‘Volta ao Mundo Falando Português’ Contos de Cabo Verde (Editora Estrela Cultural – Brazil), Contos ao Pôr-do-Sol (O Nariz Teatro – Portugal), and in the magazine Mnemósine with a short story in Spanish (Cuentos de Los Silos, Tenerife – Canarias). Above all, he considers himself a human being, a citizen of the world who lives to improve it, through Culture and Intercultural Education.
