1st Tradfolk Figueira at Dez de Agosto with Paulo Bastos
On the 27th the Sociedade Filarmónica Dez de Agosto hosts the 1st Tradfolk Figueira – festival of contemporary folk music, with an afternoon of traditional games and a workshop dedicated to folk music including dances created and presented last month at the event “SustainaBAL Revolutions for BALFolk”, in Switzerland, all in a context of celebration and pedagogy.
A traditional figueirense dinner is foreseen. At night, there will be a party with a dance and a concert with the multi-instrumentalist Paulo Bastos (highlighting his traditional interpretations in cavaquinho from Minho) and traditional European dances.
Eduardo Rainha Carvalho is the coordinator/organizer of this event, in a partnership with Dez de Agosto.
