The Municipality of Figueira da Foz will promote, on June 23rd, at 11am, at Engº Silva Municipal Market, whose 131st anniversary is celebrated on Saint John’s Day, June 24th, the showcooking “Do Vegetariano ao Sustentável” (From Vegetarian to Sustainable), hosted by Tiago Mendes, who will teach how to cook some vegetarian recipes using local products, without forgetting the concept of sustainability.
Tiago Mendes is graduated in Dietetics and Nutrition, recognised by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as Health Coach and by the Vegan Gastronomy Culinary Academy as vegan chef. He has been studying the potential of using the macroalga Porphyra sp in ready-to-eat meals.
